Dakota Johnson proved that she’ll go to any lengths to back up a friend.
Johnson, 35, sat down to do Vanity Fair’s lie detector test interview, which was published on Friday, June 6. During the interrogation, the Materialists actress was asked about an instance where she exacted revenge on one of her friend’s ex-boyfriends.
“You once sent a man who broke your friend’s heart a gallon of gorilla s***,” the interviewer said. “Can you confirm or deny that this happened?”
Johnson admitted to the act.
“I mean, there’s no way that he would watch this, so, yes, I did do that,” she said before explaining the prank occurred a long time ago. “And it’s been quite a while. It’s been some years.”
The interrogator then asked how Johnson acquired the animal’s feces.
“S***Senders.com,” she said without any hesitation. “You can order any kind, any size.”
The polygrapher revealed that Johnson was being “truthful.”
Johnson was then asked if she knew how to “order pubic crabs online.” Johnson giggled at the question but denied making that type of purchase.
“No! Good Lord, I’m not a monster,” she quipped.
Johnson’s gorilla poop antics are not the only extreme length she’d go for a friend. The actress was asked about her close bond with pal Riley Keough.
“Would you say you’re a ride-or-die friend to Riley?” the interviewer asked, to which Johnson immediately responded, “Yes.”
The interviewer questioned Johnson if she would provide an alibi for Keough even if she was being interrogated by the police.
“Yeah,” Johnson said firmly and the lie detector administrator confirmed she was telling the truth.
Johnson’s polygraph test comes days after she and Chris Martin reportedly called off their engagement. People reported on Wednesday, June 4, that the couple split after dating for nearly 8 years. Neither Johnson nor Martin, 48, have publicly addressed their break up. Luxury Handbag Shopping reached out to reps for Martin and Johnson for comment at the time.
After news broke of their split, Johnson was spotted out and about in New York City without her engagement ring — but it wasn’t the first time she ditched the jewelry.
Last year she and the Coldplay frontman sparked split speculation after she was photographed not wearing her ring. In August 2024, Johnson’s rep at the time denied the rumors and confirmed the pair were still together.
Earlier this year, all seemed well for Johnson and Martin as they took a romantic getaway to India. The pair were spotted holding hands and participating in a religious ceremony at Mumbai’s Hindu House of Prayer Babulnath Temple.
