Candace Cameron Bure Opens Up About Botox Journey, Pressure to Age ‘Beautifully’ in Hollywood (Exclusive)

Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating her birthday era!

The actress turned 50 on Monday, April 6, and ahead of the milestone she caught up with Us about her Botox journey and aging in the spotlight.

“I got it the one time, and it was great,” Bure exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping of her Botox experience. “I loved it, but, let’s see, I actually just had a little laser. I have some dark spots on my face, melasma. So that was a little birthday present to myself, which will still be ongoing, because I would really like to get those dark spots off!”

“That’s kind of where it ends for me,” Bure continued. “At this point, I’m just seeing what I can do in the most natural sense, but I still want to feel as good as I can. Already the dark spots have improved, and then the texture of my skin, I feel like my pores are non-existent right now. So I’m like, ‘Wait, what is this? Where has this laser been my whole life?’”

When it comes to Hollywood beauty pressure and aging in the spotlight, Bure tries to keep it light.

“I don’t think I feel pressure, but I want to age as beautifully as I can,” the Candace Cameron Bure podcast host explained. “Whether that’s completely natural or it’s with the help of a doctor or lasers, I don’t know. I just take one day at a time.”

“There’s so many beautiful women,” she added. “I was just watching that show The Madison, which stars Michelle Pfeiffer, and I have no idea if she’s done any work or not, but I see wrinkles, and she is so stunning. She is gorgeous. And I’m like, I want to age like that, because I can’t tell if she’s had anything done. It doesn’t look like she’s done anything, and she is absolutely stunning. I also look at my mom, who’s never had anything done in her whole entire life, and she is so beautiful. So we’ll just see where each day takes me.”

“My goals are to stay as healthy as possible,” she explained about her future. “Longevity is so key for me. I’ve been on a fitness grind for a while but I really kicked it up a notch the last year and a half because I just wanted to enter 50 into a place that I’ve never been before.”

“I’ve been so committed physically,” she said. “Not just the training, but understanding this new stage of life with perimenopause and menopause. And I’m so glad that people are writing more books about it….I think there’s so much more information out there. So many more women are now sharing and we’re getting the help that we need that will make this part of life feel better.”
