When Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll met at a concert in 2015, she wasn’t even interested. Nearly a decade later, however, the duo are one of the most talked-about couples in country music.
Not only do they slay the red carpet when stepping out at awards shows, but Bunnie (real name Alyssa DeFord) has no issues sharing the intimate details about their relationship — especially in her 2026 tell-all, Stripped Down.
Keep scrolling for a breakdown of Bunnie’s honest revelations about her marriage to Jelly Roll:

How They Actually Met
According to Bunnie’s book, the couple first crossed paths in 2015. She met Jelly Roll (real name Bradley DeFord) at a concert and noted that he “was not” her type, but something about the musician stuck with her.
“He’d call and I’d have one of my boy toys lying in bed naked next to me,” she recalled. “I’d get up to take the call in the other room, and he’d ask me questions about his daughter.”
Honesty About Their Sex Life
“We always had a sex life, but there were mountains and valleys that we had to go through — especially when he was so big,” Bunnie told Luxury Handbag Shopping exclusively in February 2026, speaking about her husband’s weight loss. (Jelly Roll has lost more than 200 pounds since 2024.)
She added, “Even when he was 500 pounds, this dude was an agile, big guy. I’m like, ‘You are athletic under that meat suit.’ Now that he has the weight off of him, he just gets to be who I always knew that he was, and I think it’s brought a new sense of happiness to him.”
What Their Marriage Is Like
Bunnie noted in her memoir that her husband was “used to having multiple relationships at the same time with different women.” Initially, they “both frowned upon monogamy,” she wrote.
Bunnie added, “We both live by the motto that we aren’t each other’s possessions and consider our relationship to be free, not open. Free will. Which means: I’ll give you the world sexually, but don’t f***ing lie to me or ever let me be the last to know something.”
Their IVF Journey
Jelly Roll is already a father of two children from previous relationships. He and Bunnie have been open about pursuing in vitro fertilization to have a child together.
“This journey with IVF, we sat down a couple months ago,” Bunnie said on her “Dumb Blonde” podcast in August 2025. “And I was just like, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that’s left is to raise a baby and garden. I’m in my baby mama [and] gardening era.”
