Bringing Up Bates alum Michaela Bates is grateful for fan support as her sister Erin Bates remains hospitalized with sepsis.

“A huge thank you to every who has been praying for my sister Erin and her family over the past few days,” Michaela, 35, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, September 4. “We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love, concern and prayer.”

She added, “I have not been able to respond to every message, [but] please know that the comments, texts and messages have touched our hearts deeply and we are so grateful.”

Michaela also shared a photo with Erin’s newborn son, Henry, and gushed in her caption that the little one is “an absolute angel baby.” (Erin, 34, gave birth to her seventh baby in August.)

“We are completely in love with him,” Michaela added in her upload.

Michaela and Erin’s sister-in-law Whitney Bates, who is married to Zach Bates, shared a message for further prayers in the comments section.

“We’re continuing to send Erin all our love and praying so hard for her ❤️🙏🏼,” Whitney, 31, replied on Thursday.

Several hours earlier, Erin’s husband, Chad Paine, revealed that the reality TV alum had recently suffered a setback in her health scare.

“Last night, Erin suffered a lengthy and severe seizure. Up to this point, Erin’s infection was getting better, but we found ourselves back in a place of heartache, uncertainty and tears,” Paine, 38, wrote via Instagram. “She is in the ICU, and the doctors are running scans and tests to determine the cause. Erin is extremely weak and spent hours only half-conscious.”

Paine continued, “As her husband, it is one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced — to sit by her side and watch her struggle while being so helpless to ease her suffering. I love her more deeply than words can express, and I can’t even imagine life without my best friend. The hours have been long and heavy, and I know many hearts are aching to see her this way, along with mine.”

Shortly after Erin gave birth to Henry last month, she developed a severe UTI and kidney infection and was hospitalized for septic shock.

“She is currently still in the ICU as doctors continue to treat, diagnose and search for answers,” Paine wrote via Instagram earlier this month. “We would covet your prayers for this beautiful girl who is such a light in a dark world. We are holding onto God’s promises.”
