Brandi Glanville has dealt with what doctors believe to be a parasitic infection for more than a year and she’s had enough of it.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum spoke with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” about her ongoing medical saga that has led to an apparent facial disfigurement. “Whenever I get the chills, it’s generally an infection,” she said. “Then I start having the ticking in my ear, and then whatever’s in my face, moving around, started moving around again. And it starts sinking in again.”
Asked if she believes she still has the parasite, a frustrated Glanville, 52, replied, “I don’t f—king know. We don’t know.”
“I prefer [my face] when it’s a little swollen, to be honest,” she continued. “When it’s only swollen on one side, it’s not great. But the sinking in thing is killing me slowly, because I just feel like I look like a crackhead.”
Glanville first alarmed fans on December 7 when she posted a selfie via X that showed her facial disfigurement. She followed up with an explanation.

“What happened? I wish I knew,” she wrote. “I’ve been in & out of the hospital this passed year 1/2 spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out. Some Dr.’s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it’s stress induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.”
Glanville told Page Six that she started re-taking her antibiotics when her face started to “sink in” again. At this point, she said she just wants the ordeal to be over and desperately wants an answer to the “oily fluid” that has caused her swelling.
“You could do anything you want to me, and I’d be OK with it,” she said. “I’ve had days of looking normal, not weeks. I wish. But it comes and goes.”
She continued, “Over the weekend, it was only swollen on the right side of my face, so I looked like I had a really big meatball in the right side of my cheek.”
As uncomfortable as the experience has been, Glanville said that the mental aspect has been even more difficult.
“It’s hard to hide out during Christmas when everyone’s having their parties. It’s depressing. It just hurts my brain and my heart,” she admitted. “The pain is more mental than anything, because I have been hiding and going through a deep, deep depression. Even if I could work now, at this point, I couldn’t. So it’s just been a really rough two years for me.”
