Even the first lady is celebrating #BeyDay! Beyonce turned 34 years old on Friday, Sept. 4, and pretty much everyone and their mother took to Twitter to wish the pop superstar a happy birthday.
Fans paid homage to the "Flawless" singer with photo collages and gushing messages about Bey's influence on their lives. As of late Friday afternoon, #BeyDay had been trending for several hours — and new tweets were pouring in literally every minute.
Some of the more famous members of the Beyhive got in on the action, too. First Lady Michelle Obama thanked Bey for being a role model, while Taylor Swift honored the Queen Bee with a dedicated Instagram post.
Bey's sister, Solange Knowles, and her former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams also marked #BeyDay on social media, as did fellow diva Mariah Carey and Orange Is the New Black star Laverne Cox.
Beyonce's official site even posted a list of song dedications from Bey's loved ones. Her mom, Tina Knowles, dedicated "Replica Luxury Handbag" by Stephanie Mills, writing, "I remember you singing at the Peoples' Workshop when you were just 9 years old. You brought the house down and got a standing ovation and all. You did a spin and wound up backwards and then — in what would become 'True Beyonce Fashion' — you made it part of your act. The show must always go on."
