Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes could be adding more TV credits to their resumes, only this time it wouldn’t be in front of the camera.
The newly engaged pair have been “approached” by Netflix for a project based on their life together, a source exclusively tells Luxury Handbag Shopping.
“Netflix has approached T.J. and Amy and expressed interest in doing a series or a film based on their love story and their life together, including the affair,” the insider shares, noting, “It’s very early.”
The potential project would be “based on true events,” per the insider, but it’s far from a done deal.
“They may not do it and may not sign off on it, or want any involvement,” says the source of Robach, 53, and Holmes, 48.
The source explains that the couple, who got engaged in fall 2025, aren’t interested in bringing the 2022 scandal back into the spotlight.
“Amy and T.J. don’t want to be reminded of an affair because they believe their love story is authentic and they want a clean slate,” the insider tells Us. “They just don’t have an interest in making a project about their love story or affair. And they don’t want the affair referenced in any project. They are proud of their love and their future marriage and vows are deeply personal and meant to honor their commitment, and not for public scrutiny or mockery.”
The source adds: “They’d rather do a talk show or podcast and live a private life with their love life in an authentic way.”

The source says the streaming studio is just the latest to want to work with the couple.
“A while ago, they got approached to do a home reno, DIY-type show, but they turned it down,” the insider shares.
Because of Robach and Holmes’ background in news broadcasting, the source says that they “don’t want to do reality TV or a docuseries” but they are open to other projects.
“They really want a talk show on a network that they host together,” the insider adds.
Robach and Holmes cohosted GMA: What You Need to Know for more than two years before photos of them getting cozy made headlines in November 2022. (Robach joined ABC News in 2012 and Holmes joined the network two years later.)
At the time, Robach was married to Andrew Shue, while Holmes was married to Marilee Fiebig.
After photos of the duo made headlines, Robach and Holmes exited ABC in January 2023, with the network releasing a statement, saying, “After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News.”
The network added: “We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”
The twosome also had continued shakeups in their personal lives. Robach settled her divorce from Shue, 59, in March 2023, later claiming that the pair had quietly parted ways in summer 2022. Robach and Shue didn’t share any children, but she is the mother of two daughters, whom she shares with ex-husband Tim McIntosh.
Us previously confirmed that Holmes’ divorce from Fiebig, 48, was finalized in October 2023. The exes share one child, daughter Sabine, 13. Holmes is also the father of daughter Brianne and son Jaiden from his first marriage with Amy Ferson. (Shue and Fiebig have since started dating.)

After the dust settled on the scandal, Holmes and Robach began stepping back into the spotlight and their relationship continued to grow.
The pair launched a joint podcast, “Amy & T.J.,” in December 2023. Nearly two years later, they announced their engagement on the show.
“We are sharing with all of you that we are engaged and we’ve been engaged for just about a month now,” Robach said on an October 2025 episode of the iHeartRadio podcast.
Holmes added, “We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to; we’ve learned that lesson, I guess, in the past about our relationship.”
During a December 2023 episode of their podcast, the pair claimed they were both separated before they started their romantic relationship.
“It was very clear to anyone who knew me that I was in the middle of a divorce,” Robach said at the time. “T.J. is a much more private person than me and just chose to keep that to himself. But it was hard because anyone who was a viewer or anyone outside of a very small circle didn’t know that either one of us were getting divorced.”
A source exclusively told Us that same month that Robach and Holmes “threw a small private party with their closest friends and family, and they told people they are engaged and going to get married.”
According to the insider, the pair plan to have a “small and intimate” celebration with less than 100 people in attendance.
“They want a destination wedding because they don’t want a media frenzy,” a source close to the couple exclusively told Us the following month. “They don’t want their wedding to be about that.”
When it comes to the guest list, a separate insider told Us in January, “The wedding is not going to be celebrity-heavy.”
The source noted that the duo are “planning on only inviting their closest friends and family” on their special day and “as of now” they hadn’t planned on “inviting anyone from GMA.”
