Alan Thicke’s sudden passing on Tuesday, December 13, came as a total “shock,” his ex-wife Gloria Loring tells Luxury Handbag Shopping in a statement.
“Thank you for your kindness concerning Alan Thicke’s passing. It is a shock. We were all just together for Thanksgiving,” the singer and Days of Our Lives star tells Us. “He was talented, funny and deeply devoted to his family. Rest In Peace, dear one.”
The Growing Pains alum was reportedly playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter when he died of a heart attack, according to TMZ. “Alan’s sudden passing has been confirmed,” his rep told Luxury Handbag Shopping in a statement, shortly after a source confirmed to Us that Alan’s son Robin Thicke had rushed to his father’s side. “At present, we have no further details,” Thicke’s rep said.
Loring and Alan were married from 1970 to 1983 and are the parents of Alan’s eldest children Brennan, 41, and the “Blurred Lines” singer, 39.
The veteran TV actor shares son Carter with ex-wife Gina Tolleson. Alan is also survived by his third wife, Tanya, who he married in 2005.
