Tammy Slaton and Andrea Dalton are engaged just months after going public with their romance.
During the Tuesday, June 24, episode of the “A Creative Chaos” podcast, the 1000-Lb Sisters star, 38, subtly revealed her and Dalton’s latest relationship milestone.
“Me and my fiancée,” Slaton told host Hunter Ezell. “We just kind of chill at home.”
After hearing Slaton’s answer, Ezell asked for clarification, “Hold on, fiancée?”
In the video interview, Slaton smiled and showed off her diamond ring to the camera. The TLC personality didn’t reveal further details about her and Dalton’s engagement, but she said the couple have been together for three years.
Two months ago, Slaton revealed during an episode of 1000-Lb Sisters that she had a special someone in her life.
“I have been seeing someone for the past couple months and it’s going pretty well,” she said in a confessional. “The person I’m dating is a woman.”
Slaton confessed that she kept her and Dalton’s relationship low-key because she was worried about how her family would react.
“I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past,” she continued. “So I haven’t told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it.”
After learning about the relationship, Slaton’s mom and older sisters voiced their support.
“If Andrea genuinely cares for Tammy and makes her happy, then I’ll be happy with her,” Slaton’s mom, Darlene, said.
Dalton revealed during another episode of 1000-Lb Sisters, that she and Slaton met on a dating app.
“I had just got on there. I wasn’t on there very long and I saw her and she saw me and we just started talking,” she explained. “And it’s been, like, every day since.”
Before her romance with Dalton, Slaton was married to Caleb Willingham. Slaton and Willingham tied the knot in November 2022 after meeting at a rehab center in Ohio. They remained together until Willingham’s death in June 2023. He was 40 years old.
One year after losing her husband, Slaton opened up about her sexuality.
“I’m a supporter of everybody,” Slaton said in a January 2024 TikTok video. “Well, I was saying I was pansexual, but I kinda stopped messing with guys after my husband passed. So, I’m like a lesbian. Love is love. Everybody deserves love whether they’re gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, nonbinary [or] whatever. I’m just a lover.”
