The Dawson's Creek actress stepped out with her little girl in Berlin, Germany. "I feel very lucky," Holmes told Harper's Bazaar that year. "I have a husband and a baby that I adore. I have a career I really love. When I sit back and reflect, it's, like, 'Wow!' I am very grateful."
While Tom Cruise was filming in Boston, the loves of his life strolled through town. "Becoming a mother has been the most amazing experience. In an instant you become strong," Holmes told Glamour that year. "You have to be a little bit wiser. It's the most important job in the world."
Holmes carried her daughter's baby doll while running around a track in Boston. "She's so bright and special," Holmes raved of Suri in a New York Magazine interview. "Whatever she wants to do, I know she's going to be amazing at it. I've already started my applause, and I will be applauding for the rest of my life."
The Jack and Jill actress carried Suri through New York City's Greenwich Village, where she shared a home with her husband, Tom Cruise. "We travel a lot, so for me, it's keeping a daily schedule for Suri that never changes," Holmes later told Marie Claire. "We wake up and we do the same thing. She does her chores. I think it's very important."
The duo hit up the makeup counter in a New York City department store. "I know I look good when Suri asks if she can have my outfit when she's older," Holmes later raved to Marie Claire of her budding fashionista daughter. "Suri is magical when it comes to clothes. She's quite an artist."
