Wiz Khalifa had an unconventional way of celebrating son Sebastian’s 13th birthday.
The rapper, 38, took to his Instagram Story on Saturday, February 21, to share a video of himself giving Sebastian 13 seemingly light punches in the stomach. Khalifa (real name Cameron Jibril Thomaz) wore a boxing glove on one hand as Sebastian stood against a wall with his arms raised above his head, as seen in a clip shared by Daily Loud via X.
After the first punch, Sebastian (often referred to as “Bash”) lowered his arms and appeared to wince in pain.
“Hands up,” Khalifa repeatedly told his son with a smile on his face.
Sebastian winced again after the second punch and covered his stomach, prompting Khalifa to laugh and tell him again, “Hands up. Bro, take it like a G, you’re 13 years old.”
After a few more punches, Khalifa told Sebastian to tighten his abs and breathe out every time he gets hit. The “Sucker for Pain” rapper completed the initial 13 punches and then swung his arm back and wound it up for one last hit “for good luck.”
Sebastian groaned as Khalifa delivered the final blow. The teen then walked away while holding his stomach as Khalifa chuckled.
“We still doin’ birthday licks in this house! Took it like a G tho,” Khalifa wrote over the video.
Khalifa shares Sebastian with ex-wife Amber Rose. The “Black and Yellow” artist also shares daughter Kaydence, 19 months, with girlfriend Aimee Aguilar.
In addition to giving Sebastian “birthday licks,” Khalifa paid tribute to his son via his Instagram Story.
“Happy 13th Birthday to my amazing son. I love you so much,” he wrote. “You bring so much joy to my life everyday and it’s been like that since the day you got here. love you so much boy. Thank you for being so kind, caring, intelligent, a great big brother and the perfect son. I love you sebastian. Happy 13th birthday my big teenage boy.”
Rose, 42, also shared a birthday message for the teen.
“Happy 13th Birthday to my Sweet Angel Sebastian (Pumpkin) you have filled my life with Love and laughter since the day you were born. I can’t believe ur a teenager now 🥹 ur smart, funny, creative, athletic and the most amazing son a mother can ask for!” she wrote via her Instagram Story. “I’ll probably cry all day cuz I love you so much kiddo. Thanks for choosing me.”
Sebastian’s 13th birthday celebration comes two years after Khalifa opened up about smoking marijuana before attending his son’s parent-teacher conferences.
“I’m pulling up stoned. They expect it,” Khalifa said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in 2024. “They know what’s up. It’s not like back in the day [where] you’re considered a bad parent if you smoke weed. I’m pretty sure my son smells like weed. I don’t know because I can’t smell it, but I’m pretty sure he smells like pot.”
Khalifa continued, “I’m pulling up high because I want them to connect with the real me. They’re not going to get a fake version of me or this made-up parent that society makes you think that you’re supposed to be. I am who I am, and it’s not because I’m a celebrity or anything. Why would I have to change who I am or act like I’m not that just for these places that I’m going to go? That’s not how I’m going to be living my life ever. Hell no.”
