Taylor Frankie Paul is spending time with her family after her season of The Bachelorette was canceled amid an ongoing domestic violence investigation.
“Thank you @hoodoomoab for having us this week,” Paul, 31, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, April 3, tagging a boutique hotel in Moab, Utah on a photo of a gift box left for her kids Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5.
The special care package included customized travel journals for Paul’s oldest kids and matching lanyards. (Taylor shares Indy and Ocean with ex-husband Tate Paul, as well as 2-year-old son Ever with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.)
In a follow-up photo, Taylor shared footage from the family’s off-roading trek elsewhere in Moab.
“When the family meets in @area.bfe,” she captioned her Friday post, referring to a local tour company.
In a third image shared via social media, Taylor was seen cuddling Indy and Ocean on a hotel room couch alongside other relatives.
“Family time is my favorite time,” Taylor’s mom, Liann May, wrote via her Instagram Stories while reposting the group pic.
Taylor has kept a low profile since late last month after ABC canceled her then-upcoming season of The Bachelorette.
“We have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time,” a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment Television told Luxury Handbag Shopping in a statement. “Our focus is on supporting the family.”
ABC claimed that the decision was based on “the newly released video [that] just surfaced” where Taylor was seen physically assaulting now-ex Mortensen, 33, in 2023 in front of her daughter shortly before the reality TV star’s arrest. She was arrested in February 2023 after the then-couple got into a physical altercation. Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated as part of a plea deal to dismiss the remaining charges pertaining to child abuse.
Taylor and Mortensen are also the subject of two additional open domestic violence investigations, stemming from separate alleged incidents in 2024 and February 2026, respectively.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, who is currently on probation until August, later issued a statement after The Bachelorette’s cancellation.
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” Taylor’s rep told Us in a statement last month. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
As for Mortensen, he has publicly denied any accusations against his behavior and was granted a temporary protective order against Taylor that also temporarily awarded him sole custody of Ever until a court hearing later this month.
