UPDATE — 6/25/25, 5:45 p.m. ET: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ childhood home in Tyler, Texas has finally found a buyer.

Realtor reports that Patrick’s mother, Randi Mahomes, received a contingent buyer on the home she lived in since 2006 with the NFL star, her younger son, Jackson, and her daughter, Mia. The buyer’s identity has not been publicly revealed at this stage.

The 1,475-square-foot residence originally hit the market in April after Patrick and brother Jackson bought their mother and half-sister Mia a new $825,000 home nearby. The Mahomes’ Tyler property went on sale with a $285,000 price tag, but sold only after Randi reduced the asking price to $279,000 earlier this month.

When the house was put up for sale, Randi said in a statement, “It’s bittersweet but it’s time for a change and Mia and I are so excited to have a new place to decorate and make a home and now I have a large space for those grand babies.”

Patrick Mahomes’ mom, Randi Mahomes, has slashed the asking price on the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s childhood home in Tyler, Texas.

The Mahomes family’s 6,098-square-foot residence was put on the market in April for $285,000, though the price tag has been cut down to $279,000 in hopes of finding a buyer quickly, reported Realtor.

“It’s bittersweet but it’s time for a change and [daughter] Mia and I are so excited to have a new place to decorate and make a home and now I have a large space for those grand babies,” Randi, 52, previously explained.

Patrick lived in the three-bedroom home from age 11 until he was selected by the Chiefs during the first round of the NFL draft in 2017. The lucky buyer of the Tyler dwelling will enjoy a landscaped backyard, marble countertops and even the doorframe etchings Randi used to mark her three kids’ heights over the years.

“Inside, you’ll love the beautifully updated kitchen featuring new countertops, a stylish backsplash, KitchenAid appliances and modern lighting that’s perfect for hosting friends and family,” the official listing for the property boasts. “The home also boasts refreshed showers, a spacious backyard and is located within the sought-after Whitehouse school district.”

As she begins this new chapter, Randi admits to having mixed feelings about leaving the home where she shared so many wonderful memories with her kids. (Randi shares Patrick, 29, and his brother, Jackson, 25, with ex-husband Pat Mahomes and welcomed daughter Mia, 13, during another relationship.)

“There were a lot of tears and laughter and memories in that house but it’s time to let a new family start to build their dream there now,” she acknowledged.

Randi and daughter Mia are moving into a $825,000 residence that Patrick, his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and his brother, Jackson, recently purchased for her in Texas.

“Replica Luxury Handbag is where the heart is — and my heart is full! Beyond grateful for my amazing family @patrickmahomes @brittanylynne @jacksonmahomes and my grandbabies for this incredible blessing,” Randi announced via Instagram in March. “Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day.”

While describing the new home as “the surprise of [her] life,” she added, “Here’s to new memories, laughter and love in this beautiful new home!”

Patrick and Brittany have three children: Sterling Skye, 4, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2, and Golden Raye, 6 months. Earlier this year, Randi announced that she was going on “grandma duty” while Patrick’s Chiefs took on the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. (The Eagles ultimately beat the Chiefs, 40-22.)

“[I am] the most excited ’cause all three are gonna be there,” she beamed in February. “I may or may not watch the game, but I will be holding the grandbabies!”

In January, Randi went viral during a trip to the local Dairy Queen in Tyler when she spotted a sign advertising full-time work on the door.

“$11 an hour. I only made $4.25 an hour when I worked there in high school,” she quipped.

After moving on from Dairy Queen years ago, Randi founded the merchandise company QB Producer — where she shares “Patrick’s history through his Mother’s eyes” — and has worked as an event planner for the Hollytree Country Club.
