Hannah Ann Sluss is a new mom after welcoming her first baby with husband Jake Funk earlier this month.
“We’ve spent the last few days at home soaking in newborn heaven,” Sluss, 29, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, November 24, confirming her little one’s arrival.
She teased, “I’ll share more soon 🥹,” while sharing a photo of the couple’s dog wearing a “Big Brother” bandana.
The Bachelor alum — whom fans met during Peter Weber’s season 24 in 2020 — and the NFL player, 27, announced their engagement in January 2023 before tying the knot in Italy in June 2024.
One year later, Sluss revealed that she was pregnant with the couple’s first baby.
“We found out we were expecting during a trip to Dubai,” she told People in June. “It was such an unexpected and joyful surprise! A moment we’ll always treasure.”
At the time, Sluss also shared her beach maternity photos on social media.
“Each day growing you is a blessing 🤍,” she gushed via Instagram. “God’s plan is more perfect than we ever imagined. We know God is in this story, and we can’t wait to meet you 👼.”
The following month, Sluss spoke exclusively to Luxury Handbag Shopping about her experience as an expectant mother.
“The pregnancy is going by super fast,” she explained in July. “First trimester is so slow and then you wake up and you’re, like, over halfway.”
After hitting the 20-week mark, the reality of impending parenthood began setting in for Sluss and Funk.
“Especially now us being, like, over halfway, and I’m starting to show more,” she told Us. “[Jake] just can’t get over how there actually is a baby in there. So we’re just both so thankful and excited, and I know it will start to seem more real leading up to every doctor’s appointment and being able to see more on the ultrasound screens. So we’re very excited. It all kind of seems like a blur, especially after the first trimester, when things start to speed up.”
Ahead of the little one’s arrival, Sluss and Funk were focused on “doing our homework and figuring out our own routine” as parents while also “enjoying our last few months of it just being about us.”
She continued, “It’s all about scheduling and talking with one another. I mean, both of our schedules are pretty hectic, especially with my husband with football season and stuff. So I think we’re just kind of going to take it as it comes and just know that we’re like a team regardless, and it’s going to take a little extra teamwork, but we’re down for it.”
