Dancing With the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko’s ex-wife, Elena Samodanova, is expecting a baby with her new partner.
“Our love story continues with a new chapter ❤️,” Samodanova, 42, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, August 28, sharing maternity pics with Vlad Kvartin.
In the snaps, Samodanova held up ultrasound photos while Kvartin, 29, rested his hands on her baby bump.
“Pink or Blue, we can’t wait to meet you 🍼,” she added in her caption. “Are you team Boy 🧑🏼or team Girl 👧🏼?”
This will be Samodanova’s third child. She shares daughters Olivia, 13, and Zlata, 7, with Savchenko, 41. The dancers were married for 14 years before splitting in 2020. Savchenko sent well-wishes to his former spouse after her pregnancy announcement.
“Congratulations 🎉,” Savchenko wrote in an Instagram comment on Thursday. “I’m so happy for you guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Savchenko and Samodanova finalized their divorce in October 2021, agreeing to share joint physical and legal custody of their daughters. Samodanova, Olivia and Zlata later moved to Hong Kong in 2023, while Savchenko stayed in Los Angeles to compete on DWTS.
“It’s really, really hard to stay connected because of the time difference. But I try my best,” Savchenko exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping in July 2024. “I visited them during Christmas. I took them to Thailand for three weeks.”
He added, “I think my ex-wife [is] a great mom and she loves her girls. She does so much for them.”
Savchenko and Samodanova have also supported Olivia and Zlata as they follow in their parents’ dancing footsteps.
“[Olivia] dances fully ballroom, and [is] doing all the competitions,” he told Us last year. “On the 2nd of August, I’m taking her to Taiwan for the World Championship. She has a partner in Hong Kong and we’re all flying to Taiwan.”
Zlata, meanwhile, also found a passion for karate.
“She wants to be Rapunzel Ninja. She’s like, ‘I want to be Rapunzel Ninja.’ And I was like, ‘Well, you have to learn Kung Fu,’” Savchenko quipped. “She was like, ‘No, first I need to nail the karate, get a black belt, and then I’m going to be studying Kung Fu.’”
After his divorce, Savchenko dated Elena Belle from 2021 to 2024. He sparked a romance with Brooks Nader after they were paired together on DWTS season 33. The pair split earlier this year, with Savchenko telling Us in an April statement that he wished Nader, 28, “the best” moving forward.
