Channing Tatum is trying his best to navigate the changes he’s seeing in daughter Everly as she approaches the teenage years.

“I don’t know when yours started changing or if, but it’s just happening for me,” Tatum, 45, began on the Thursday, October 9, episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, speaking about the 12-year-old, per People.

Drew Barrymore replied, “Tell me everything because I have 13 and 11, so I’m sandwiching her.”

Tatum shared that Everly was “always pretty opinionated, very strong willed” but now it has taken on “a whole different level.”

“I got yelled at in an escape room yesterday. Like, she’s never yelled at me before,” he said. “All I did I was like, ‘I wonder what ‘… She’s like, ‘Dad, don’t touch that!’ And I’m like, ‘Whoa, what was that?’ We’re both trying to solve this problem and now I feel like we have to go to therapy because of that moment.”

He continued, “Like, that was not you. Her eyes changed. Like, they just went, like, shark black or something. It was crazy.”

Tatum shares Everly with ex-wife Jenna Dewan. The former couple tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed their daughter in 2013. As his daughter grows up, Tatum has since spoken candidly about being involved in Everly’s interests.

“I know that I liked to act and play make-believe and magical things, but I just didn’t know if I was going to be able to meet her on her level,” Tatum told VMan magazine in February 2022, noting that he eventually realized he had to “go into her world and do whatever that is that [Everly] wanted” him to do.

Tatum and Dewan announced their split in 2018 and the divorce was finalized in 2024.

“Jenna and I are good now, but it was a painful break to have that fall apart, especially being so young,” Tatum said in an interview with Variety in September. “We tried to keep it together, tried for a year and a half. … It’s in the past.”

In the same interview, Tatum got candid about coparenting Everly with Dewan — who also shares son Callum, 5 and daughter Rhiannon, 16 months, with fiancé Steve Kazee.

“It’s really tough not to have your daughter half the time,” Tatum said. “I wish I could just have her all the time.”

After his split from Dewan, Tatum moved on with Zoë Kravitz. The Magic Mike actor proposed to Kravitz in October 2023, but the pair split the following year. He has since started dating Inka Williams.

As Tatum and Williams’ relationship heats up, a source exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping that he is “not looking to settle down right now” but the pair are “definitely dating.” While balancing his relationship and parenthood, Tatum has yet to introduce Williams to Everly, the insider said.

The source shared that Tatum has decided to keep “things separate” for the time being. “It feels more low-key than his past relationships. Channing is having a lot of fun right now,” the insider added. “The relationship is low-pressure, and they are on the same page about it.”
