Aubrey Plaza is taking a stroll around town — and showing off her baby bump — one day after news of her pregnancy broke.
The Parks and Recreation alum, 41, debuted her growing baby bump in photos published by E! Online on Wednesday, April 8, while walking her dog in New York City.
Plaza, who is expecting her first baby with partner Christopher Abbott, was spotted wearing gray joggers, a brown shirt and a navy peacoat as she stepped out in the Big Apple.
She wore black sunglasses and brown New Balance sneakers and held onto her dog as they navigated a busy street.
Plaza’s outing comes one day after the actress’ rep confirmed to People that she is pregnant with her and Abbott’s first child.
A source told the outlet on Tuesday, April 7, that Plaza is due “this fall” and that both she and Abbott, 40, “feel very blessed.”
“[It] was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” the insider added.

The happy news comes one year after Plaza’s estranged husband Jeff Baena died in January 2025, just months after the pair quietly separated. (Baena died by suicide at the age of 47.)
“This is an unimaginable tragedy,” a spokesperson for Plaza told Luxury Handbag Shopping in a statement following Baena’s death. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
Plaza and Baena dated 10 years before they secretly tied the knot in 2021. The pair separated in September 2024.
Following the tragedy, Plaza began to rebuild her life and eventually found love with Abbott. The couple — who hadn’t confirmed their romance before the pregnancy reveal — have been longtime friends and coworkers.
Plaza and Abbott previously worked together on 2020’s Black Bear. Three years later, they shared the stage in the off-Broadway production of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.
Abbott spoke about his working relationship with Plaza in November 2023, telling Vogue that in addition to entertaining the audience nightly, he tried to impress his scene partner as well.
“We’re the ones doing it every night, eight times a week,” he recalled. “So I think there’s a level of — without going too outside the bounds — keeping it fresh for us and just checking in that we’re having fun on stage, and sort of staying engaged.”
