Souvenir for baby! After sweeping the 2013 Hollywood awards season, British singer Adele headed home to the UK with trophies for both her and her 5-month-old son.
” . . . and we’re home! What an epic trip. Thanks for having us Hollywood!” Adele, 24, tweeted with a photo of her Oscar for Best Song on Sunday, March 3. Beside the large gold trophy was a miniature version with “Best Son” written underneath.
The “Skyfall” singer and boyfriend Simon Konecki welcomed their little boy — whose name has yet to be publicly disclosed — back in October. The new mom showed off her post-baby body on the red carpet as she picked up statues at the Golden Globes, Grammys and Academy Awards.
During her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes on Jan. 13, Adele said, “Honestly, I’ve come out for a night out with my friend Ida. We’re new mums. We’ve literally come for a night out.” She added, “This is for my boyfriend who convinced me to do it and my lovely son.”
The wisecracking chart-topper got very emotional during her Oscar speech on Feb. 24 and quickly wrapped it up by thanking her “man,” saying, “I love you, baby.”
