Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer, is soaking up the sun amid her pregnancy.
“Beach body + one 🥰💕,” Meyer, 48, captioned a trio of beachside photos via Instagram on Tuesday, December 30.
The jewelry designer sported a black string bikini top with a green sarong as she cradled her baby bump in the tropical snapshots. Meyer accessorized the vacation look with silver rings, simple layered necklaces, large hoop earrings and oversized sunglasses. A gorgeous oceanfront view and pink beach chairs with umbrellas could be seen in the background as Meyer dipped her toes in the sand.
“So exciting! You look gorgeous!😍,” one person commented underneath the post, while another said, “Stunning mama 😍😍😍.”
The post came nearly two weeks after Meyer announced her pregnancy with her third child, her first with fiancé Geoff Ogunlesi. (Meyer also shares kids Ruby, 19, and Otis, 16, with Maguire, whom she officially divorced in 2020, four years after announcing their separation.)
“Hey baby girl 🥰 We love love love you!!🩷,” she wrote alongside the announcement shared via Instagram on December 19, which featured the mom in a white T-shirt and jeans while posing in a grassy area.
Amid her pregnancy with baby No. 3, Meyer opened up about where her relationship with Maguire, 50, stands five years after their divorce.
“I actually think that my divorce has been one of my greatest teachers,” Meyer said on the December 1 episode of “The Inside Edit” podcast. “It teaches you patience, and you’re also raising [kids together]. Our daughter was 10 or something, so those are some intense times that you need to stay connected.”
Meyer called Maguire “wonderful,” which is something she feels “lucky” for.
“My life was not easy every day, and I’m sure he would say the same thing,” she noted of their marriage. “We definitely had to overcome some big hurdles.”
Meyer revealed that when she and Maguire first split, they were still living together.
“We didn’t tell anybody because we didn’t want the kids to know. It was this weird time, and everything happens all at the same time,” she shared. “It’s complicated when you’re breaking up after being together for 14 years and building your whole life. We were kids and built this whole life together and had two kids.”
As for what went wrong in their relationship, Meyer assured listeners that “nothing bad happened” between her and Maguire.
“It was just time to call it, and it was hard because we really loved each other and cared about each other,” she explained. “When two people are breaking up, you kind of hate each other for a minute. You want to hate each other because you’re, like, ‘This will make the breakup easier.’”
Though Meyer has moved on romantically from Maguire, the Spider-Man actor is still a huge part of her life.
“I now have an ex-husband who is my best friend and would do anything for me, and I would do anything for him — anything in the world,” Meyer said. “[He is] the best dad, the best ex-husband, the best friend [and] the most generous.”
