Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Layla Taylor revealed that she decided to get a breast implant revision to reclaim her “confidence.”

Taylor, 24, and her plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Barrett detailed her goal with the procedure in a video shared via his official Instagram account on Monday, March 16, explaining that she ultimately wanted her chest size to be more proportionate to her body.

“I’ve been thinking about getting my boobs redone for, honestly, since I got them done,” she said in the clip. As a mom of two to kids Oliver “Ollie” Clay and Maxwell Dean, shared with ex-husband Clayton Wessel, Taylor added, “I just wanted a fresher look.”

“When Layla first had them done at a different practice, going bigger made sense for her height,” Dr. Barrett echoed in the caption while sharing why she chose now to go under the knife. “But over time, she realized the size felt like too much for her frame and lifestyle.”

“She has a very small band size, but her implants gave her a much larger cup size — which meant constantly adjusting tops and feeling like nothing ever quite fit right,” he added.

Dr. Barrett said that Taylor was candid about “something that stuck with me — as moms, you give so much of your body to your kids through pregnancy, nursing and raising them.”

“Wanting to feel confident and comfortable in your own body again is completely valid,” he continued. “Thank you, Layla, for trusting me with your care.”

The end of the clip showed Taylor preparing for her revision by changing into a surgical gown and putting on a hair cap. Dr. Barrett was seen doing the procedure, the results of which have yet to be unveiled. “Looking forward to sharing more of her journey,” he teased.

Taylor has been making efforts toward her health as well, publicly sharing just days ago that she is receiving treatment for her ongoing struggle with anorexia, a topic she brought up during season 4 of Mormon Wives.

“For the past two years, I’ve been struggling silently with an eating disorder I believed I had left behind in high school,” she wrote via Instagram on Sunday, March 15. “Far before I touched [GLP-1s] I’ve had my struggles. It’s been lonely and exhausting, fighting a battle in my own brain while trying to show up like everything is okay and [receive] comments daily on my body.”

Taylor confirmed that she is still in treatment after kicking the medication to the curb. “Even this video, seeing my body side-by-side, is triggering,” she admitted. “But I’m still fighting — not just for me, but because my boys deserve a healthy, present mom.”
