Tom Green
Tom Green (born Michael Thomas Green) is a Canadian comedian, actor and television host best known for his unconventional humor on The Tom Green Show. Green was raised in Ottawa, where he attended Algonquin College and studied television broadcasting, which helped launch his early career in media.
Green began performing local stand-up comedy gigs as a teenager before creating The Tom Green Show for public-access television in Canada from 1994 to 1996. The series gained a cult following for its prank-based style and was picked up by MTV in 1999, bringing him international fame and establishing him as a standout figure in alternative comedy.
At the height of his popularity, Green starred in films including Road Trip (2000), Charlie’s Angels (2000) and Stealing Harvard (2002). He also hosted Saturday Night Live and continued working across television, film and digital media, including talk shows and podcasting.
Green married actress Drew Barrymore in 2001 after the pair met on the set of Charlie’s Angels. They separated the same year and finalized their divorce in 2002. He moved on with Amanda Nelson in 2024, and the pair tied the knot the following year.
