
Teddy Swims
Teddy Swims (born Jaten Collin Dimsdale) is a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter. Swims spent his childhood in Conyers, Georgia, where he grew up in a musical family. He first gained an interest in music in high school, where he participated in musical theater and learned how to play multiple instruments.
Swims launched his career by joining a few bands before posting cover videos online, gaining a following with renditions of songs by artists like Shania Twain, Marvin Gaye and Lewis Capaldi. His breakout moment came in 2019 when his cover of “You’re Still The One” went viral. He signed with Warner Records later that year.
His debut studio album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) (2023) features the hit single “Lose Control,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He released his second studio album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) in 2025, and that same year, he received the Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.
The singer embarked on his first world tour, the Tough Love World Tour, in 2022. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with the likes of X Ambassadors, Meghan Trainor and Armin van Buuren.
In 2024, the singer went public with girlfriend Raiche Wright. The following year, the couple announced that they were expecting their first baby.
