Lena Dunham
Actress, writer, and director Lena Dunham is best known as the creator and star of the hit HBO series Girls. Raised in New York City and a 2008 graduate of Oberlin College, Dunham first gained notoriety for her 2010 feature film Tiny Furniture. Named 2011’s Best First Screenplay at the Independent Spirit Awards, Tiny Furniture costarred Jemima Kirke and Alex Karpovsky, whom Dunham would eventually cast in Girls as Jessa and Ray.
Nominated for four Emmys for her work on Girls — which premiered in April 2012 to massive critical and fan acclaim — Dunham appears on the weekly series as Hannah Horvath, opposite Kirke, Allison Williams, and Zosia Mamet. She was awarded a 2013 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Musical or Comedy and was the first woman to win a Directors Guild Award for Outstanding Director in a Comedy Series.
Dunham dated Jack Antonoff, lead guitarist of the Grammy-winning band Fun., between 2012 and 2018. She moved on with Luis Felber in March 2021, whom she wed that September.
