Heather Locklear

Heather Locklear is an American actress known for her roles on Dynasty, T.J. Hooker and Melrose Place. Locklear spent her childhood in Los Angeles and was the youngest of four children. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where she initially pursued a degree in psychology. After enrolling, she began a modeling career that quickly progressed, prompting her to drop out and pursue modeling full-time.

Locklear’s early career took off in the early 1980s when she was cast in producer Aaron Spelling’s hit series Dynasty and T.J. Hooker. Her work with Spelling helped establish her as a TV star, and she later solidified her fame after landing her role as Amanda Woodward on Melrose Place. She joined the series in 1993, earning four Golden Globe nominations for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama.

In addition to Melrose Place, Locklear starred on Spin City from 1999 to 2002 alongside Michael J. Fox and Charlie Sheen, earning an additional two Golden Globe nominations for her role. Her film credits include Money Talks (1997), Uptown Girls (2003) and The Perfect Man (2005).

Locklear was wed to Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1993 and later to Richie Sambora from 1994 to 2007. She shares one daughter, Ava (born in 1997), with Sambora. She was briefly engaged to Jack Wagner in 2011. In 2020, she got engaged to Chris Heissner, but the two split in 2025. The following year, she moved on with Lorenzo Lamas.
