
Adam Sandler
Adam Sandler is an Emmy-nominated actor and comedian best known for his work on Saturday Night Live. Sandler was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire and graduated from Manchester Central High School. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1988 with a degree in acting.
Sandler began performing stand-up comedy in college, which led to small roles on television, including a recurring part on The Cosby Show. In 1990, he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live as a writer and was later promoted to featured player, becoming known for characters like Opera Man and original songs like “The Chanukah Song.”
He later transitioned into film, becoming a box office staple with comedies like Happy Gilmore (1996), Big Daddy (1999), Mr. Deeds (2002), 50 First Dates (2004), Click (2006) and Grown Ups (2010). In 2019, he returned to SNL as a host, which earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
In 2025, he reprised his role as Happy Gilmore in the film’s sequel.
Sandler married actress Jackie Titone in 2003. The couple share daughters, Sadie (born in 2006) and Sunny (born in 2008), both of whom have appeared in his films.
