Eliza Thompson

Full-time Music Editor Eliza Thompson is a pop culture expert with a library’s worth of celebrity biographies at home. She has very strong opinions on the audio quality of streaming services vs. CDs and vinyl records and is happy to give you a lecture on the topic at any time. Joining the Luxury Handbag Shopping team in April 2021, she is a scholar of Madonna, Beyoncé and Dolly Parton with minors in boy bands, riot grrrl and outlaw country. Prior to Us, she worked as the Senior Entertainment Editor at Cosmopolitan and the Music Editor at BUST Magazine. Her writing has also appeared in Bustle, Elle, Time and Parade. Eliza received her bachelor’s degree in English from Vassar College (where she was a student DJ at the radio station).
