Hermès has quietly added a new arrival to its US website, the kind of under-the-radar release that’s easy to miss unless you’re looking for it.
Recently, Hermes has been experimenting with elevating leather designs through intricate surface embellishment, from the diamond-adorned Kelly II Sellier 25 “Journey to the End of the Night” to the intricately detailed Ligne Perlée. For spring, the Kelly Classique To Go Wallet offers a softer, more wearable take, accented with tulip motifs, or tulipe as Hermès would say, adding a subtle flourish to the classic silhouette.

First introduced in 2020, the Kelly To Go quickly became one of Hermès’ most coveted small leather pieces. Retaining signature details like the sangles and Touret fastening, it offers a streamlined take on the Kelly handbag.
Crafted in Nata Epsom calfskin with palladium hardware, the To Go Wallet features delicate tulip embroidery across both the front and back. The floral detailing adds subtle color and dimension in a combination of Sakura, Pink, Moyen, and Anis, while preserving the clean silhouette of the Kelly To Go. Currently offered exclusively in the Kelly To Go Wallet, it will be interesting to see whether Hermès extends this treatment to the Constance To Go.
Measuring 7.8 x 4.5 x 0.6 inches, spacious enough for a large smartphone, the interior includes four credit card slots and a zipped change purse for essentials. The removable strap allows it to be worn as a crossbody, over the shoulder, or carried by hand, making it one of the most versatile small leather silhouettes in Hermès’ lineup.

This isn’t Hermès’ first rodeo applying embroidery to its leather handbags. From styles like the Kelly To Go Tressage and the reimagined Shoulder Birkin Light to Ghillies across the Kelly and Birkin families, as well as designs such as the Constance “Dancing Flowers,” the house has long experimented with intricate stitching. Floral embroidery, however, marks a first for the Kelly To Go. Tulip motifs are a recurring theme in Hermès’ silk scarves — most notably the Tulipomanie print by Aline Honoré — linking this design back to one of the House’s enduring designs. Here, that same attention to surface detail is translated onto the Kelly Classique To Go Wallet in a compact, everyday format.

The Kelly Classique To Go Wallet Tulipe edition retails for $9,150, up from $7,200 for the standard Epsom. That $1,950 premium buys a little floral flair, Hermès’ subtle way of celebrating spring.
Are you all about the timeless classic Kelly Classique To Go Wallet, or would you let this tulip-adorned edition shake up your Hermès SLG lineup for spring?
